A major service is usually due every two years or about 40,000 km. It includes everything in a full service and adds the parts that wear more slowly, such as spark plugs, fuel filter (on diesels), cabin air filter and brake fluid where the maintenance schedule calls for it.
Your mechanic checks your owner's manual schedule first so you only pay for what's due.

Usually about 3 hours. Your mechanic will tell you if your vehicle needs longer.
Can it be done at my home?
In most cases, yes. Mobile mechanics need a safe, level place where they're allowed to work, such as a driveway, carport or quiet street (check your strata rules). If your job needs a shop we'll let you know before you pay anything.
Is the price fixed?
Yes. The price on your quote is what you pay. If the mechanic finds something else, they'll explain it and give you a separate price – nothing extra is done without your OK.
