Prices and fees, explained
For customers
You pay the fixed price on your quote, in Canadian dollars. There's no booking fee and no extra charge for the mechanic coming to you. Online card payments are not enabled yet. Confirm payment arrangements with your mechanic before the job.
Tax – to confirm with an accountant. How GST (5%) and BC PST (7%) apply to bookings, the platform fee and mechanics who are or aren't GST-registered has not been confirmed. No tax is added at checkout yet (Settings → tax_mode = none).
For mechanics
$5.00
per completed booking (CAD). That's our whole fee.
No commission on the job value. No subscription. No joining fee. If a job is cancelled, there's no fee.
Card processing is charged by our payment provider and passed to the mechanic at cost – estimated at about 2.9% + 30¢ on a standard Canadian card. We don't add anything on top.

Card processing estimate uses a standard Canadian card rate. Actual rates depend on the card type and how payments are set up; the estimate will be updated once payments go live.
