Timing belt replacement for your Toyota Corolla
Typical price $644 · 3–5 hours
Replace the timing belt before it fails and damages the engine.
What the job involves
If your engine has a timing belt (many have a chain instead), it needs replacing at the interval in your owner's manual, often every 100,000–160,000 km or seven to ten years. A snapped belt can wreck the engine, so it's not one to leave.
We recommend replacing the water pump at the same time where it's driven by the belt.
